Puff Bubba is a mystery wrapped in an enigma caught in a catch 22.

First of all, because I believe in the legalization of marijuana for adults, I must remain anonymous as my profession shuns this idea and I can't yet "quit my day job."

Secondly, because I believe in ethnic diversity, tolerance, and acceptance, I cannot reveal my identity as I live in KKK central.

I've heard marijuana referred to as a "gateway drug;" that it leads to experimentation with other more dangerous narcotics. But what if for the sake of argument, we imagine a country where cannabis is legal for adults only. We would go to the local marijuana store to buy our herbal remedy. It would be regulated by government, so that it would not be laced with PCP, cocaine, crystal meth, etc - thus making it safer. It could be taxed, Lord knows that the government needs the money, but the price could be set so low as to undercut the black market street trade, thus putting pot dealers out of business.

Presently, where does one go to buy weed? Answer: from a drug dealer. This same dealer may not only have marijuana for sale, but also other more harmful narcotics. Here lies the so called "gateway." With legalization, this gateway argument does not hold water.

Additionally, I agree with President Obama that we should hospitalize instead incarcerate people charged with non-violent drug crimes. We are the most incarcerated country on the planet! This is supposed to be a free country! Free country my ass! What ever happened to "Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness?"

On another note, one of my first memories is of Naval personnel searching for the bodies of the three slain civil rights workers in my area. They were later found buried in an earthen dam.

As a young boy, barely a day went by that I didn't hear the saying "We ought to send them damned (explicit deleted) back to Africa where they belong."

My hope is that in some small way through my music I can foster a new hope; that men and women of different races learn to live together and work together to forge a brighter future for all of our children.
